Dear Prospective Participant:
The Rock City Drag Racing Club is a non-profit organization that was established June 2003. It is based in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. We travel to our sister islands in the Caribbean and represent our island competitively. St. Thomas does not have a track available, however, to alleviate the pressure of illegal street racing, our club was formulated to participate in the sport of drag racing where it is both fun and takes place in a safe environment as offered by the drag racing strip. Our latest excursion occurred February 17th, 2006 during St. Croix’s annual Agriculture Fair. This event had numerous spectators due to the inter-island competition of St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Maarten, and Santo Domingo. Our goal this year is to travel to Santo Domingo which will be the club’s first time ever participating competitively on this island. Our next St. Croix invitational event is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend from May 27th-29th, 2006.
We currently have approximately 25 members both male and female in our organization. Our club is comprised of various vehicles such as imports, domestic, and motorcycles. We have meetings the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at the tennis court near WAPA. Currently we have no corporate sponsors and are interested in establishing a long-standing relationship. Our club is accepting any sponsorship/donations to help defray the cost of traveling. We appreciate your contribution by either joining our club or being one of our sponsors. Since we are a non-profit organization, your contribution is tax deductible. Our goal this year is to travel to Antigua for their invitational in June and July 2006
